Meet Our Speakers
Heather Guzman, Director of Meal Programs and Compliance, San Antonio Food Bank
Heather oversees the administration of federal and private children’s feeding programs worth over 4 million dollars. She specializes in the children’s program compliance and capability, ensuring children receive nutritious, well-balanced meals. With Heather's leadership, SAFB has been recognized by the Texas Department of Agriculture for providing locally grown foods to children while connecting the community to agriculture, increased community collaborations, and healthy living promotions.
K. Elise Lindstrom, MA, RDN, Culinary Nutrition Specialist, Marion County Public Health Department
Elise works in the Sodium Reduction in Communities Program. She has over a decade of experience developing and implementing nutrition programs; creating and supporting community partnerships; and working with food service providers and distributors to increase access to healthier food options in all environments. Elise is the chairperson for the Top 10 Coalition of Indiana’s Nutrition Work Team and member of the Indiana Nutrition Council.
Cherese Myree, CFE; Vice President, MH Miles Company, CPA, PC
Cherese is a certified fraud examiner who specializes in the USDA Food Programs and governmental compliance. She has over 15 years of experience in the fields of auditing, accounting, and consulting with specialized experience in governmental contract auditing and contract compliance. She testifies as an expert witness for the CACFP and SFSP and manages MHMC’s review, consultant and training engagements across the United States. Cherese is a graduate of Clark University.
John Puder, MPAff, Director of H.O.P.E, Baylor Collaborative on Hunger and Poverty
John provides strategic leadership to Baylor's Child Hunger Team to promote participation in summer meals, after-school meals and school breakfast programs. Prior to joining the Baylor Collaborative on Hunger and Poverty, John served as the social marketing coordinator for Harris County's Systems of Hope. John's career has included working for public officials and campaigns. He earned his bachelor's from the University of Texas at San Antonio and a Master of Public Affairs degree the University of Texas LBJ School. At the LBJ School, John was a Barbara Jordan Scholar.
Isabel Ramos-Lebron, MS, RDN, LD; Nutrition Education Specialist, National CACFP Sponsors Association
Isabel develops nutrition education materials and provides informational webinars on nutrition to support stronger program operations. She has a strong background and passion in working with low-income communities of various cultures, while working on graduate research projects and working in the nonprofit, food banking environment for eight years. Isabel has an MS in Nutritional Sciences from Rutgers University.
Alexia Thex, MEd, Director of Policy & Partnerships, National CACFP Sponsors Association
Alexia is charged with expanding NCA’s advocacy on policy matters and advancing the mission and interests of association members and stakeholders while forming mutually long-term, beneficial partnerships with corporations and organizations fitting the mission of NCA. Through her career in development, Alexia has also raised funds for Downtown Houston YMCA, the Holocaust Museum Houston and schools her children attend. She has a MEd in Exercise Physiology from the University of Texas.
Tikilia Tinker-Martin, CMP; Food Equity and Community Engagement Coordinator, Division of Community Nutrition and Food Policy for the City of Indianapolis
Tikilia's passion for feeding children has only grown through her roles as a monitor, food coordinator and now as a manager. Tikilia continues to consider it a honor and privilege to serve in the parks and communities that she grew up in where her love for parks was first formed. Tikilia holds a BA from Martin University.
