April is Autism Acceptance Month! Our partners at Sesame Street in Communities have created new bilingual (English and Spanish) resources to help foster autistic children’s sense of creativity as well as support parents and providers in helping discover and support children’s unique perspective and personality.

Amazing to Me (Storybook)

In this story, Julia’s mom teaches Julia and Samuel a new creative skill—a skill she learned from her grandmother many years before. As they create, Julia explores at her own pace and finds a new way to express herself, adding her own amazing touch.

Make a Pinch Pot! (Printable)

Julia and her family made special bowls together and each person added their own unique touch. Nurture your autistic child’s amazing creativity with this craft. Follow the instructions on this page to make a simple dough you can use to make pinch pots of your own!

Sharing Amazing (Printable)

Your family has so much amazing to share—familial traits, interests, skills, recipes, memories, stories, and more! Sharing a few quiet moments coloring together can help spark ideas for new ways to connect.
