2024-2025 CACFP Reimbursement Rates

The USDA has released the Reimbursement Rates for 2024-2025, as well as Cash In Lieu rates.

Rates are effective from July 1, 2024, through June 30, 2025.

 

Summary of Changes for Contiguous States

Family Child Care Homes

  • Breakfast increased 1 cent (Tier I) and 1 cent (Tier II)
  • Lunch/Supper increased 3 cents (Tier I) and 2 cents (Tier II)
  • Snack did not change (Tier I) and increased 1 cent (Tier II)

Centers/Afterschool

  • Breakfast increased 1 cent (paid) and 9 cents (free and reduced)
  • Lunch/Supper increased 2 cents (paid) and 18 cents (free and reduced)
  • Snack increased 1 cent (paid), 2 cents (reduced), and 4 cents (free)

Administrative Reimbursement Rates for Sponsoring Organizations of Day Care Homes

  • Increase of $5 per month for initial 50 homes
  • Increase of $4 per month for next 150 homes
  • Increase of $2 per month for next 800 homes
  • Increase of $2 for each additional home

 

Summary of Changes for Alaska  

Family Child Care Homes

  • Breakfast increased by 3 cents (Tier I) and 1 cents (Tier II) 
  • Lunch/Supper increased by 5 cents (Tier I) and 3 cents (Tier II) 
  • Snack increased by 2 cents (Tier I) and 1 cents (Tier II) 

Centers/Afterschool

  • Breakfast increased by 2 cents (paid) and 14 cents (free and reduced)
  • Lunch/Supper increased by 3 cents (paid) and 28 cents (free and reduced)
  • Snack increased by 1 cent (paid), 4 cents (reduced), and 8 cents (free)

Administrative Reimbursement Rates for Sponsoring Organizations of Day Care Homes

  • Increase of $8 per month for initial 50 homes.   
  • Increase of $5 per month for the next 150 homes.   
  • Increase of $5 per month for the next 800 homes.   
  • Increase of $4 per month for each additional home.

 

Summary of Changes for Guam, Hawaii, Puerto Rico and Virgin Islands 

Family Child Care Homes  

  • Breakfast increased by 2 cents (Tier I) and 1 cents (Tier II) 
  • Lunch/Supper increased by 4 cents (Tier I) and 3 cents (Tier II) 
  • Snack increased by 2 cents (Tier I) and no change (Tier II) 

Centers/Afterschool

  • Breakfast increased by 2 cents (paid) and 11 cents (free and reduced)
  • Lunch/Supper increased by 2 cents (paid) and 22 cents (free and reduced)
  • Snack increased by 1 cents (paid), 3 cents (reduced), and 6 cents (free) 

Administrative Reimbursement Rates for Sponsoring Organizations of Day Care Homes

  • Increase of $6 per month for initial 50 homes.   
  • Increase of $4 per month for the next 150 homes.   
  • Increase of $4 per month for the next 800 homes.   
  • Increase of $3 per month for each additional home.

Cash in Lieu Rates

Cash in Lieu rates increased by one half (1/2) cents per lunch and supper in the CACFP, with the overall rate of 30 cents per lunch and supper for the time period starting July 1, 2024, through June 30, 2025.
