Over 13 million children leave school not knowing if there is supper at home, or if their next meal won't be until the next day when they are at school. Serving meals and snacks to children in At-Risk Afterschool and Out-of-School-Time doesn't have to be hard or complicated.

If you're going to be in San Antonio to attend the Texas Association for School Nutrition (TASN) 2024 Annual Conference, we would love to discuss this further with you. We'll be in the Exhibit Hall at Booth #335 and look forward to sharing more information on how you can get started or improve service with Afterschool Meals and the Summer Food Service Program.

The Exhibit Hall will be open on Monday, July 1 from 9:30 am - 3:30 pm (for Decision Makers only) and on Tuesday, July 2 from 8:00 am - 12:00 pm (for all attendees).

We also encourage you to attend CACFP At-Risk Afterschool Meals, presented by our nutrition education specialist, Isabel Ramos-Lebron, MS, RDN, LD. She'll be giving an overview of the requirements needed to provide healthy meals at afterschool sites, the basics of the CACFP, and how afterschool programs can play a crucial role in providing food security to children.

Her session will be in Room 221 C/D on July 1 from 9:15 am - 10:15 am.
