The session will address the Civil Rights training requirements as outlined in FNS Instruction 113-1, Civil Rights Compliance and Enforcement – Nutrition Programs and Activities. State agency staff who interact with program applicants, participants and potentially eligible individuals and those persons who supervise front line staff must receive annual Civil Rights training. This session will fulfill this requirement.

1. Understand the basic Civil Rights requirements for CACFP, ensure information, access and services are available to populations within the program’s service area.
2. Increase your understanding of current compliance areas, policies, and procedures to better prepare your organization for an FNS agency-level comprehensive Civil Rights review.
3. Meet your annual training requirement with an opportunity to interact directly with FNS Civil Rights subject matter experts.
