Ingredients
- 1 lb 90/10 lean ground beef
- 1 green bell pepper, chopped
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 6 garlic cloves
- 1 bunch cilantro
- 1 tbsp oil
- 1/2 tsp salt
Directions
- In a food processor, purée the bell pepper, onion, garlic, and cilantro until smooth. This is sofrito! Can freeze this mixture for up to 3 months.
- In a skillet on medium-high heat, warm up the oil. Place 1/2 cup of sofrito into the skillet and allow to cook for 1-2 minutes.
- Add the ground beef and salt. Cook meat until well done. Makes about 12 oz of cooked beef.
